Band
Required
We use Band as our home base for communication. It’s gives us a private and secure space for announcements, chat/messaging, events, and photos.
We primarily use Band because the official Scoutbook message options are limited to email and text — and it’s pretty uni-directional. Leaders can contact you, the parents, but it’s harder to go the other way.
Band is kind of like a private Facebook — we can create posts for specific topics, we can instant message each other, and we can share photos. We post important announcements and info on meetings and outings on Band.
Every parent should install the Band app and setup an account using your phone number.
Once you have an account, request to join our Band here: https://band.us/@fisherspack109
Scoutbook / Scouting mobile app
Required
Scoutbook is the official system for our pack’s roster and tracking Scout advancement. With a Scouting account, you can access Scoutbook through the Scoutbook mobile app if you want to see your scout’s progress on their advancement.

Facebook group
Optional
We have a private Facebook group for posting photos of our activities. The group is private because, in addition to a desire to respect everyone’s privacy, it is against the BSA rules to post photos of our kids in a public place. We mostly will be using Band to replace this going forward.
